🌕 The Inspiration Behind By the Light of the Moon

Sometimes a story begins not with words, but with a feeling — that hush between twilight and night when the air seems to shimmer with possibility. By the Light of the Moon was born from that feeling.

I wanted to create something that reminded people to pause. To breathe. To find a little peace in their own reflection. The moon became my muse because it’s always there — constant and cyclical, quiet yet powerful, glowing on even our darkest nights.

🌙 The Spark of an Idea

For years, I’d written about magic found in nature — forests, seas, starlight — but the moon kept appearing in my journals like a gentle whisper: remember me. One night, I sat outside under its silver glow with a cup of tea in hand, and the first words of By the Light of the Moon came through almost like a spell.

It wasn’t meant to be a “how-to” guide. It was meant to be a lantern — something you could hold close when you needed calm, guidance, or quiet inspiration.

🕯️ A Companion for Reflection

Each page was written to feel like sitting beside a candle — soft, warm, and honest. I wanted it to be the kind of book you reach for when you can’t quite find your footing, or when you’re craving connection to something bigger yet beautifully simple.

That’s why it pairs so naturally with the heart of Twig Leaf Flower. Both are about slowing down, breathing in the scent of something real, and creating small, meaningful rituals. Whether it’s lighting a candle, diffusing lavender, or journaling beneath a new moon, these moments become a way to realign your inner rhythm.

🌿 Where Nature Meets Magic

The moon, much like the plants and essential oils I work with, moves in cycles — waxing, waning, resting, renewing.

I think that’s what makes it so healing: it reminds us that rest is part of growth. That beginnings don’t have to be loud.

When you open the book, I hope you feel that same rhythm — the comfort of knowing you can begin again, anytime, by the light of the moon.

✨ A Little Ritual to Begin

Tonight, try this simple lunar ritual:

  • Brew a calming cup of tea.

  • Add a few drops of a soothing essential oil blend to your wrists or diffuser.

  • Step outside for a moment, or open a window, and look for the moon.

  • Whisper a quiet intention to yourself — one of peace, hope, or renewal.

That’s where the real magic begins.
